School of Law
- Alumni Interviewers. Interviews provide the Admissions Committee with valuable information about an applicant’s interpersonal and communication skills, maturity, and ability to thrive in our collegial and close-knit environment. They provide applicants with a chance to meet with and pose questions to an individual school representative. They also give us an opportunity to highlight the many strengths of Northwestern Law. [more information]
- Alumni Career Advisory Network. The Alumni Advisory Program is designed to be used as an informational/networking tool by students and alumni seeking guidance as they explore career options. The program allows them to contact volunteer advisers and ask questions about particular practice areas, discuss market trends, or obtain valuable career advice. [More information]
- Firm and Corporate Representatives. The Firm & Corporate Representative Program helps encourage consistent annual giving by Northwestern Law School alumni/alumnae. School of Music
- The School of Music is always interested in hearing from alumni who are willing to talk with students about career opportunities in the arts; what it's like in the "working world" for musicians; how to run your own business; and other pertinent topics. The school schedules speakers throughout the year, and also offers a "Career Day" during which several alumni speak about what they are doing in the music business. For more information, contact Dorothy Wyandt, d-wyandt@northwestern.edu, 847-491-7485.
Alumni Admissions Council
A major activity of the AAC is conducting interviews with prospective admission candidates. Each year, over 800 AAC members throughout the world interview approximately 3,000 students. Their interview reports are added to the students’ admission files and reviewed by the Committee on Admission as they make decisions for the freshman class.
The loyalty of AAC members gives continuity to our efforts in many places here and abroad. We hope that you will find the prospect of working with fellow alumni and future alumni appealing and rewarding. For more information, please contact Allen Lentino or, to sign up, please click here.
Giving to Northwestern
- Senior Class Gift
Each year a Senior Class Gift Committee forms to coordinate efforts for making a gift to the University that is significant to senior class members.
For information on what volunteer efforts are being coordinated, please contact annual-giving@northwestern.edu or call (847) 491-7111.
- Parents Fund
The Parents Fund draws together former and current parents who provide support that greatly impacts student life. Members of the Parents Fund Committee are invited to spread the word about the importance of parent giving at Northwestern.
If you would like to join with other volunteers — screening gift prospects, recruiting committee members, staffing campus events, and/or hosting receptions — please contact Jan Willis at (800) 222-5603. |
