LANU Celebrates Noche de Gala
On May 10, 2008, the Latino Alumni of Northwestern University (LANU) held its inaugural scholarship gala, Noche de Gala, at the Northwestern University School of Law. LANU and its guests celebrated the achievements of the Northwestern Latino community and the endowment of the LANU scholarship.
During a brief program, LANU recognized the 2007–2008 LANU scholarship recipient, Kenneth Cebrian (MEAS09), for his outstanding contributions to the Latino community at Northwestern, as well as his stellar academic achievements. LANU was honored to have Mr. Hector Cuellar (KSM80), president of RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, as the keynote speaker for this event.
Guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails and delicious Latin American food and danced the night away to the rhythms of Yo Rumba. Noche de Gala was a great success, bringing together Latino alumni and raising funds for future scholarships.
