Thomas Powers (WCAS63, FSM66) San Francisco, California
Thomas currently has a private medical practice. He is a fellow in the American Psychiatric Association and has served as chair of the Alameda Country Contra Costa Medical Association Mental Health Committee and for the Department of Psychiatry at Eden Hospital, for whom he also served as medical director. Thomas has also served as the assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, as the chief medical officer for the U.S. Peace Corps from 1969-1971, as a Peace Corps physician in Blantyre Macawi from 1967-1969, and as a staff physician in Plan De Salud Del Valle in Ft. Lupton, CO.
Thomas serves as an Alumni Admissions Council co-director for the San Francisco Bay Area, a member of the NU Club of the San Francisco Bay Area board of directors, and as a class representative for the Feinberg School of Medicine class of 1966.
