Our Work Environment Hours
The John Evans Alumni Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Many NAA activities, including alumni tailgates, reunions, board meetings, and others, take place outside these hours and may require a staff member's attendance. Dress Code
Our objective is to create a pleasant workplace atmosphere, while recognizing the importance of maintaining a professional environment. Part of our image is observed in the way we dress. Our department therefore has adopted a Business Appropriate Dress Policy based on what is appropriate for the day's activities and the amount of customer client/contact one has in one's position.
Formal business attire is worn if a scheduled meeting calls for this type of attire. In general, employees are encouraged to wear formal business attire when meeting with customers/clients who are not employees of the Alumni Relations department.
Business casual attire may be worn at all other times. This includes casual slacks, khakis, dress shirts, golf shirts, collared sports shirts, turtlenecks, sweaters, dresses, or skirts. Shoes should be dress shoes or loafers.
Some examples of unacceptable apparel are blue jeans, t-shirts, shorts, sweat suits, athletic attire, athletic shoes, spandex, casual sandals, slippers, and clogs. |
